What is jawline augmentation?
Jawline augmentation is a term used to define a group of procedures that define and tighten the lower third of the face. Jawline augmentation is becoming increasingly desirable.
What are the non-surgical options for jawline augmentation?
There are surgical and non-surgical treatment options that are used to achieve a more snatched and tighter jawline. Whether you go down the surgical pathway or non-surgical route really depends on the cause of your ill-defined jawline.
The main non-surgical options include Botox, with the main aim here being to enhance the contour of the jaw. Radiofrequency skin tightening is also an option.
What are the main surgical options?
Naturally, there are a lot of surgical options to enhance the jawline. The main ones include the following:
- mandibular osteotomy
- jaw implants
- chin implants
Does a neck lift improve one’s jawline?
A neck lift most certainly helps define the lower part of the face. It gets surgical access to the deeper parts of the face, which tightens and improves the drape of the lower facial tissues, thereby giving you a more snatched, crisp, and defined jawline.
HOW IS A JAWLINE / CHIN AUGMENTATION SURGICAL PROCEDURE PERFORMED?
Jawline implant surgery is usually performed using local anesthesia. Dr. Clymer makes an incision inside of the patient’s mouth and inserts implants that have been specifically created for the patient’s desired jawline shape.
Once inserted, the implants are positioned on both sides of the jawline; unlike many implants, most implants Dr. Clymer recommends for jawline enhancement are “self-attaching” and require no screws for fixation. Dissolvable sutures are used inside the mouth. Dependent upon the patients’ jawline aesthetic goals, a chin implant may be recommended to achieve optimal balance of facial features.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM JAWLINE AUGMENTATION?
Jawline augmentation is recommended for patients who desire to:
- Strengthen the chin/jawline
- Augment an under-projected chin
- Create more balance between the face and neck
- Project a more masculine appearance
There are several methods to address your jawline augmentation/shaping needs
The Jaw Implant/Jaw Augmentation Procedure
We will discuss your goals for treatment and determine if jaw implants are right for you during the consultation. Jaw augmentation is an outpatient procedure and takes about one hour or less to complete. If necessary, we will take 3D scans of your jaws and face to get a clearer view of your bone and facial structure. We offer many types of anesthesia, and typically use general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation for this procedure.
During the procedure, your surgeon will make an incision inside the mouth or under the chin to reduce visible scarring. Your surgeon will make room for the implant and insert it along the jaw or chin, then close the incision with sutures.
After jaw implant surgery, you will see results immediately, though the surgical area may be swollen for at least a week. You can manage post-operative swelling, bruising, or discomfort with over-the-counter pain medication and cold compresses. We will provide you with instructions to follow to expedite your recovery. Expect to return to our office about one week after the procedure to have stitches removed (if dissolvable sutures were not used) and for your surgeon to evaluate your healing.
WHY JAW AUGMENTATION IN IRAN?
The story of medical tourism in Iran goes back to the time where citizens of neighboring countries started to come to Iran to get their treatments done by skilled Iranian doctors.
This surge continued to grow and a new area, i.e. cosmetic tourism, has emerged as the country has topped amongst the countries with the high rate of plastic surgeries and especially rhinoplasty. Now, the country is crowned as the nose job capital of the world.
In general, there are 3 main reasons attracting people to flock to Iran for cosmetic/medical procedures: doctors, costs, and medical facilities.
In the first place, you may assume that cheaper treatment is the prime reason patients consider the country for. However, none of our patients has referred to this as their motivation. This country has attracted people for its strong base of proficient and qualified surgeons before anything else.
Moreover, despite being a developing country, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centers provide excellent services to the patients just like what they may receive in a developed country.
Currently, more than 150 hospitals have opened their doors to foreign patients, being licensed to launch the International Patient Department. Many of them are ready enough to offer treatment much more rapidly than western countries
COST OF JAWLINE AUGMENTATION IN IRAN
The price of your jawline surgery depends on the procedure you are going to undergo. Jaw augmentation surgery or jaw implants in Iran costs around $3,500.
